I tried using this motor for the first time today with a small 13lb turkey. The first time I went to baste my turkey, the motor has stalled and my turkey was slightly burned on one side. I checked the balance, restarted the motor, and watched for a few minutes as it turned okay. However, 20 minutes later I found it stopped again, straining to turn my little bird, burned badly on the same side. It will only work for a 40lb load if it is perfectly balanced, but ANY motor can do that!

Haven't used the motor yet, but I am happy to say it seems to fit both the motor mount and rotisserie spit for my old grill. I was unable to find an OEM motor due to the age of the original. I was amazed at the speed the item was delivered. What I am less satisfied with is that there is no mention of the length of the power cord in any description, and it is only about half the length of the original. Is is customary to expect to use an extension cord with a grill rotisserie?
